We were fortunate to arrive at the temple just as the sun was setting, which made for some great images.

Stained Glass Panel
Image straightened, reflections & panel lines removed. Required many hours of detailed effort, but worth it. We now have a 2x5 ft metal print hanging on our wall.
The visitor's center panel has 100 different symbolic representations of every parable Christ taught along with miracles and other moments from His life and mission. In artistic terms, Christ is the “vanishing point,” with all perspective lines pointed toward Him. The panel contains 6000 pieces of stained and painted glass. -- Additionally, there are actual items contained within the panel:
1. Widow and her mite (authentic coin in her staff), 2. Actual shell from the Sea of Galilee, 3. An actual rock from the Holy Land, reminding that only he who is without sin can cast the first stone. 4. Actual bits of frankincense - gift from the wise men, 5. Actual gem stones reminiscent of the Aaronic priesthood; twelve stones were on the high priest’s breastplate, representing the twelve tribes of Israel, which were scattered and will be gathered; also represent the riches of the young ruler who is asked to sell all and follow Christ 6. Actual pearl not to be cast before swine; also represents the treasure and pearl of great price in the parables, 7. Alpha and Omega symbol carved in alabaster from the the same quarry frequented by Michelangelo and from which the Christus and 12 apostle statutes in the visitors’ center were mined, 8. Actual chunks of salt from the Dead Sea representing the salt of the earth, 9. Actual sand from the Holy Land reminding to be wise and not build on a sandy foundation. 10. Actual coins from the Holy Land, given to the beggar but now cast aside as he reaches for the Savior; also represents the parable of the lost coin. 11. Actual coin from Christ’s time in fish’s mouth.
